daffodowndillies

She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
“Winter is dead.”

thoughts of spring: miscellaneous questions

Photobucket

Over at Dancing Barefoot on Weathered Ground Lynnette is having a fun blog party. Part of the blog party is answering fun questions :) I'm not going to answer all of the questions that she had, just a few. Here they are:

What celebrity/celebrities would create a “Star-Struck” feeling if you saw them in real life? Adam Young. Ahhh! I'd probably die. And also Julian Smith. I'd most likely die then, too. :)

Who is your favorite blogger? Why?
It's hard to pick just one favorite blogger, because there's so many incredible bloggers out there. Some of my favorite are Carlotta, Larkin, Libby and Olivia. They are such great writers and their photography is amazing.

What is your comfort food/drink?
 Cookies. And homemade vegetable soup.
|Favorite. Cookies. Ever.|

Movies: Action, Drama, Romantic Comedy, Documentary, Comedy? What are your favorite genres?
I can't pick! I love all different kinds, and I love it when there's a little bit of everything in a movie.
 |My favorite movies. Lord of the Rings trilogy. Eeep!|

Books: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Romance, Biographies, True Stories, Self-Help, Devotional/Study? What are your favorite types of reading material?
I read all different kinds of books. I love reading classics (like Anne of Green Gables and Little Women), historical fiction (like Chains), and I love fantasy (like The Chronicles of Narnia and The Hobbit). And I love biographies, too (especially missionary biographies. Epicness.)
If you could live anywhere at all (and take all your loved ones with you), where would you go?
Narnia. For sure. But if you mean anywhere at all on earth, than Prince Edward Island.

What is one of your favorite things to catch a whiff of?
Yankee candles, cookies, and grass (yes, grass.)

What is your greatest fear or strange phobia?

Sharp knives and big spiders. *shudders*

What are your favorite animals?
Cats! I love cats - big cats like lions and little cats like Alfred :)

What movie or book character can you most relate to?
Anne Shirley or Ellen Montgomery.

Hope you have a great day :)

raindrops

Today is a typical almost-spring Irish day. You know - the kind of day that starts off sunny, then all of a sudden it starts pouring, and then gets sunny again. Irish weather is very deceiving. But right now it looks absolutely beautiful.

 |I <3 grass|

|See how blue the sky is?|

Ugh. Nevermind about the absolutely beautiful! It's not so nice anymore. It started hailing right as I finished writing that. Didn't I tell you that Irish weather is deceiving?

 |This is what hail looks like. Little round pieces of ice. Awesomeness.|

Well, I'm off to make oatmeal cookies. Oh, and sorry that I stopped blogging for a while. I was suffering from a bad case of bloggers block. But I think I'm better now. :)

miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

 1. woah. I haven't posted since the 5th. How did the days slip by so fast?

 2. hurry up, flowers. You know what these mean? They mean that soon there will be flowers blooming. Yippee!

 3. prince edward island. I'm reading the Anne books, and now I really want to go to PEI. Really really really want to.

|Not my photos. Because tragically I haven't been to that beautiful place. *cries*|

4. heart photography.

 5. I am so excited. I'm excited because there's a new Owl City album coming out soon (like at the end of this spring or early summer). And there's also a new Francesca Battistelli album coming this March. *jumps up and down in anticipation*

6. I wonder why I haven't done miscellany monday before. It's extremely fun, and it allows you to have lots of different random topics in one post. Awesomeness.

black and white and color

What do I do on cloudy Saturdays such as this one? I edit photos, read blogs, listen to Owl City, and bake cakes. So far I've done all of them except the last, and I hope to do that soon. Because I really really like cake. And the picture of coffee cake on Carlotta's blog makes me really really want some.

But anyway, like I said, I edited some photos today. I tried a few black&white and selective coloring pictures (using picnik). I usually don't really like doing selective coloring, but every once in a while it's just fun :) Here's one of my favorites:

|taken last month at an awesome castle. more pictures to come soon|

So that's all for now, I need to go bake a cake. Hopefully I won't forget to add the flour or put anodyne liniment instead of vanilla like Anne of Green Gables did....totally sounds like something I would do :) Also, Olivia is having an awesome giveaway, click here to see.

  Have a lovely Saturday,
