These last few weeks I have been experiencing an unfortunate case of blogger's block. I've been posting a bit, but it's been strangely difficult to post. It's all just VERY DUMB, you know?
It's not that I don't have things to post about. I have a whole lists of ideas, actually. But when I sit down to make a blog post, I just can't. It's very frustrating!
I'm sure that this is just one of those short writer's blocks and not the end of my blissful blogging career (as I sometimes scare myself into thinking).
Do you guys have any advice for poor bloggers who just can't blog? Is there some secret tip that will solve all my problems? Let me know, folks.
love,
Hannah
I feel your pain, I'm currently in a little blogger's block as well, which does sound pretty dumb saying it out loud. xD And its not like I don't have ideas either (in fact its quite the opposite), I just can't physically bring myself to bring those ideas to a draft. Hopefully we can both fix this soon. xD
ReplyDelete(Btw, not to be all stalker-ish, but I absolutely love your Doctor Who calendar. I have the same one)

That's a bummer...but I'm glad that I'm not the only one who goes through blogging slumps!
DeleteAnd hehe, thank you! I love it, too - it was my 2014 calendar, but I didn't get a 2015 calendar until YESTERDAY so I had that one still up :) I'm going to miss it.
Ahhhh, yes. I had this majorly, and eventually, I just dumped my pride and decided that "He must increase, and I must decrease" --- I've decided to go with inspirational quotes + beautiful photos, and simplicity and goodness, and since I've decided that, I have had SO MANY ideas about what to post, that I want to post it all, but I have to restrain my self, haha. :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog is absolutely lovely - I love the simplicity of it. I'm glad that you found your "blogging groove"! I think I might need to rediscover mine. Thank you so much for commenting and sharing your thoughts, girl!
DeleteUsually I just take a step back and spend more time with God, family + friends. After the break, I always feel refreshed, and super pumped to start posting again. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Abbey. I think that sounds like a good idea...
DeleteIt happens to everyone. I hope you recover real soon, cause I love your blog. I think taking a break to read other blogs, read books, and just skip around in the great wide world is one good way to deal with it. It will pass. It must pass.
ReplyDeleteP.S. YOUR MAP IS SO BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you, Susanna! I do believe that I will put your advice into practice. Sounds like the thing to do. :)
DeleteP.S. THANK YOU! IT'S LIKE MY FAVORITE THING.
I've seriously been going through the same thing! I've started a few blog posts and have lists of ideas but then when I sit down to write, nothing comes. I don't have a secret tip except coffee and chocolate because those will probably help with anything. =)
ReplyDeleteAgh, you too? It stinks, right? You're so very right about coffee and chocolate, though... solves everything.
DeleteDon't worry, because this happens a lot. I suggest take a small vacation from blogging and gather out inspiration. Take photos, go onto Pinterest, draw whatever comes into your mind... sometimes, our imagination needs a break, and it does well deserve one!
ReplyDeletexoxo Morning
I love these tips, Morning! Thank you so much for commenting! :)
DeleteI would get a couple of other bloggers to do guest posts until you feel like you can blog again.
ReplyDeleteIf you need a guest poster, I'll be one, I have been wanting to write about something besides tea and gardening. That is all I ever post about on my blogs, I also find excuses to post my non-tea and non-gardening photography on them because I want to post more of my photographs on my blogs.
That is my suggestion, get a few guest bloggers to post for you.
Goodness, that's such a great idea. Thanks so much for offering to be a guest poster, Clara! If I decide to get some guest posters, I'll shoot you an email! :)
DeleteI've been in a blogging slump, too, lately. My best advice is to take a break because I'm sure you'll come back refreshed and recharged. Breaks always do wonders for me, so I'm taking a blogging break now.
ReplyDeleteWow, must be a blogging slump time of year. A break does sound like a good idea. Thanks for commenting, Ana!
DeleteAiiii Hannah me too. :( Except I can't even think about anything to post about! I think it's the weather...like, I'm so sure it's the weather. If you come up with anything that works, let me know!
ReplyDeleteIT'S DEFINITELY THE WEATHER.
DeleteNever apologize for a lack of blogging. that's a rule of the thumb I try to keep. Its your blog and if you're not feeling it, let it be. blog on your own time about what you want. Pray for topics or inspiration, and leave it to God. Your followers will be here. Take your time love.
ReplyDeleteThat's my advice.
That's a good rule to have - I try to hold by that, too. Thank you so much for your advice, Faith! :)
Deleteugh! I relate, I really do. I get little spells of Blogger's Block all the time, and it really is the most frustrating thing in all of humanity. Sometimes I find it's good to take a little break, let yourself live life a bit and get inspired. I also always have drafts of blog post ideas saved, ideas that I could easily type up if I'm ever desperate for something to post. You'll get back into the swing of things eventually :) I know you will.
ReplyDeleteIt really is frustrating, isn't it? Thank you so much for your encouragement, Hannah! :)
DeleteTHIS IS ME RIGHT NOW. Gah. I just...I have posts, but I either feel too nervous about them or not enthused about them, and I just end up taking a lot more days off than usual. When you discover the secret to crushing bloggers block, let me know. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'll let you know, Cait. Let me know if you figure it out, too. :D
DeleteI feel your pain. Clearly, I've been suffering from the same thing. ;)
ReplyDeletePoor us :(
DeleteWhere did you get your map? I need it!! :)
ReplyDeleteHey!! I got it on Society6.com :)
