[Photos from our last trip to the States: 2011-2012]
i. Six Flags: Great America // Illinois
ii. Iowa
iii. Owatonna, Minnesota
iv. Michigan
v. Atlanta, Georgia
vi. California
We leave for America in less than a week.
I'm feeling such a strange mixture of excitement and sadness. I'm glad we're going, but it's so hard to leave. I love my home, and it's hard to imagine not seeing it again for five months.
I made a list of things that I'd love to do in America. My brother suggested some of the things, too. A few of them probably won't happen, but I'm allowed to dream, right? :)
The Great American Bucket List:
Go to Six Flags in Illinois
See a 4th of July Fireworks Show
Visit a Zoo or Aquarium
Spend the Day at Target (there is no place like Target)
Get an Arnold Palmer at Chick-fil-A
Skype with the Cats
Go on a Hike
Buy Books at a Used Bookstore
Go to a Garage Sale
Meet a Blogging Friend
Go to a State Fair or Farmer's Market
Go to the Theater to see Pixar's Inside Out
Visit a Museum or Historic Site
Make Vlogs
Spend the Day at a Pool
love,
Hannah
Those are some great ideas :) Fireworks on the 4th of July are a must!! Garage sales and especially used book stores are fun- although for me that can be quite dangerous, as I always find so many neat things ;) And meeting a blogging friend sounds so awesome!! Hope you all have a safe and fun trip- will be praying !

PS- The zoo where we live is pretty awesome. If you're ever passing through, you should definitely stop! Some of the exhibits are quite spectacular!!
DeleteHehehe, yes - used bookstores and garage sales are super dangerous! :D It's hard to say no to cheap books. Thanks so much, Libby! Hope you have a great summer, too!
DeleteI live in Chicago, as I'm sure you know is in Illinois! : ) I've never been to Six Flags, but I drive by it on the way to my grandparent's in Wisconsin quite often.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have an awesome time!

That's awesome! Chicago is a really great place.
DeleteYou already know who's volunteered to be the Blogging Friend. ;) This is a great list. Also skype the cats? Gosh, you're the coolest.
ReplyDeleteYES PLEASE LET'S HANG OUT. Hehehe, thanks :)
DeleteI live an hour or two from Six Flags. Only been once, but it's pretty great! I don't know where in America you're headed, but St. Louis (near Six Flags) has fantastic free zoo and some great free museums as well.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to St. Louis, but it sounds great! (I really like the movie Meet Me in St. Louis so that's a plus)
DeleteThanks, Lydia!
Yes, St. Louis (where I live), has some really great free stuff! The Muny (an outdoor musical theater) even has some free seats. One of the ones they are doing this summer is Into the Woods. which I know you reviewed on here awhile ago.
DeleteGoing to garage sales and used bookstores are the best! It's one of the things that my parents love to do on the weekends, and sometimes, if I'm not tired, I'll tag along with them. I really hope your trip goes well (along with Skype-ing the cats)! :D
ReplyDeletexoxo Morning
Thank you so much, Morning! I hope you have a really good summer, too!
DeleteAh, this is so great! Leaving is so hard, but what a grand adventure you're embarking. ;) You're going to love 4th of July fireworks - there's something too magical about them as well as blogger meet ups.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you're going to college in California, you're going to have the best of times. Maybe we'll meet up sometime if you're going to live closer to college? :) xx
Thanks, Grace! I'd love to meet up sometime! That would be awesome.
DeleteTarget!!!! Bookstores!!!!! Fireworks!!!!! Cats!!!!! Pretty great bucket list! Where are y'all going in America?
ReplyDeleteThanks! All over the place...Illinois, Iowa, Georgia, and a few other places!
DeleteOooh! All such fun things. Fireworks are my absolute favorite, I hope you can find a good show. And I'm always available to be a blogging friend : ) I hope you have the most fantastic trip!
ReplyDeleteI love fireworks, too :) Oh man, I wish I could meet all of my blogging friends! That would be so great. Thanks, Susanna!

Heeeey that would be so fun. I'll definitely let you know if we are :D Thanks, Hannah!
DeleteAahhhh, I'm swooning over that third picture. And the last one is so gorgeous, too. <3 Cities at night, there's just something about them. This is a lovely list of things to do. Farmer's markets are also brilliant. As is hiking. If you're anywhere near the Redwood National Forest you should totally go hiking there -- gosh, there's nothing like that place. It's so gorgeous. I hope you have an awesome trip!
ReplyDeletelove,
abbie
Aw, thanks Abbie :) I'd love to go to the Redwood Forest sometime!! I hope you have a great summer too :)
DeleteAre you, by any chance, going to be in Virginia at some point during your visit?
ReplyDeleteI wish we were, but we usually don't go in that direction! :( I''ll let you know if we do, though :)
DeleteI am an available blogging friend...if you pass through St. Louis, MO!
