If you asked me what my favorite day of our trip to the UK was, I would most likely say, "The second London day". If you asked me why it was my favorite, I'd probably start jabbering about pretty bookshops and Sherlock and Westminster Abbey and how it was just a perfect day from start to finish.
Reason #1 Why It Was a Perfect Day: See that photo up there? Some of you fellow Sherlockians may recognize that as BBC Sherlock's Baker Street. WE WENT THERE. WE GOT COFFEE AT SPEEDY'S. It was a beautiful time.
Reason #2 Why It Was a Perfect Day: Unlike the first London day, where we were a bit stressed and desperately trying to see everything we could in one day, this second day was more laid back and enjoyable.
Reason #3: We got to visit Westminster Abbey. It was so fascinating. So much history happened inside that place. One of my favorite parts of the whole trip.
Reason #4: Ice Cream Waffles in the park.
Reason #4: I saw a real-life Queen's house.

|we happened to spot this while walking down a street!|
Reason #6: We visited Hatchard's Bookshop. It was one of the prettiest bookshops I've ever been to! They had Folio Society books which I gaped at and daydreamed about buying.
Reason #8: A dream came true. My mom and I saw Les Miserables! It was perfect and unforgettable. The whole time I was just like:
That was one of the most exciting days of my whole life. I hope you enjoyed hearing about it. (All you Sherlockians can go yell at me down in the comments.)
love,
Hannah
It looks like you had so much fun! I just finished rewatching a Sherlock episode, so this post came at a very convenient time. :) Also, I've never had an ice cream waffle, or even heard of one, but oh my goodness, it looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt was so yummy! :) Thanks for commenting, Kristin!
DeleteTHIS LOOKS AMAZING I am so jealous and I wish to go to London. I have never seen folio society books in person SO PRETTY. Sorry for the caps. Too much coffee today.
ReplyDeleteAlso Les Mis! I saw it in Toronto, it was amazing. And also my family made a banner for Ramin Karimloo, who plays Jean Valjean. xD Because we're nerd morons. And he met and talked to all of us it was AMAZING.
I love how you structure your posts and words, by the way. Makes me fascinated by every bit.
