Stressed and Desserts

A few shots from the other day of trying out a new recipe from Ree Drummond's cookbook.  It was called Apple Brown Betty (recipe here!), and it was pretty amazing. Especially topped with custard. It was all eaten up before I could take any decent photos of the finished product.

Life has been so crazy lately, friends. I'm trying to finish school before we leave for America in three weeks. Three weeks. On top of that, this month is pretty busy. I'm stressed out.

I'm so sorry about the lack of blogging - and especially sorry about how long my Q&A vlog is taking. I'm working on it!

How are you all? Have you baked anything scrumptious lately? Have you taken any rings to Mordor? Let me know! Also, please note the fact that "Desserts" is "Stressed" backwards. That's how I justified the randomness of this post.

I will return. Soon. Hopefully in vlog form.

love,
Hannah

  3. Oh my. That dessert looks so yummy! I've made some chocolate chip cookies a few days ago. Okay so maybe they were the refrigerated pre-cut kid but those are just..just sooo good. <3
This month has been extremely busy for me as well. My great grandmother is in the hospital right now so that has been a really anxious and stressful situation.
I hope you have a great time in America! <3

  4. Gosh, I could go for some custard right now. Urgh, Q&As are super stressful. I hope the editing goes well (that's the tricky part)! Hey, the desserts and stressed idea you have is quite clever! If you're stressed, eat dessert! :P Or if you eat dessert, you won't be stressed!

    xoxo Morning

  7. Good luck with schoolwork. I hope you have a lovely time in America.

Also, I have a random request... can YOU make a cookbook? You take such lovely photography of food and decorations. I think a Fictional Feasts cookbook could be really popular!

  8. This post title perfectly describes my life at the moment. Idk if it's the time of year or what, but I'm trying to keep track of so many things and I AM CRAVING FOOD, LIKE, ALWAYS. Basically I relate really strongly to this whole entire post.

(also, that looks delicious and now I'm craving Brown Betty, THANKS A LOT.)

Post tile = my life. Basically. It's either stressed or all about that food. Well...maybe not fully, but still...

I hope you have a awesome time in America! It's pretty great actually.

  11. Wow! You are really amazing! No wonder why you're stressed. I haven't been able to do anything besides school these past couple weeks, and I feel stressed from that. I'm not sure how I would hold up if I also had a trip in 3 weeks.
Thank you also for the recipe. It's always nice to try something new. Sometimes I get stuck in a groove making the same things over and over again because I'm comfortable the recipe. Does that ever happen to you?

    1. Oh, all over the place! Arkansas, Illinois, and Iowa are the main places. It's for my family's furlough - which is basically missionary talk for visiting supporters and family back "home". Should be really fun :)

  17. Wow, I'm super stoked for you, Hannah! Three weeks is nothing. I hope you have a stellar time. (: Aaaand this looks scrumptious and I totally would not have got that "desserts" is "stressed" -- THAT IS SO CREATIVE. And just... it's awesome. Try not to let the stress get to you! Everything will be good.
