my fullest year

It went so fast, didn't it?
Doesn't it feel like just yesterday was your first day?

Um, no.

Not at all.

This was the fullest year of my entire life.

I couldn't recount it all if I tried.
The pictures on my phone
The photos from my first month at school
They are from a lifetime ago.

I see myself in them
But who was I then?
I can't remember.

It's funny how
people that you didn't even know existed
have become so embedded in your life
that you can't remember what it was like
to exist without them.

It was over before I knew it,
But that doesn't mean it went by quickly.

I am so glad you have had such a good time Hannah!!! (You can tell I really mean it because I'm not using contractions.)

  3. Wow.

I am so glad you had a fantastic time... so glad you made great friends... so glad you have fairy lights and orange walls (!)

I was going to quote the same line as SW, too. :) I've met a few people like that this year, too. <3

  4. You write beautifully! My goodness this spoke to me. This year has been so full. New friends have come, old friends have gone. Work, school, and relationships have taken over my life. But it's been great in its own way.

    With Love,

  5. Beautiful! This post perfectly captures how I feel about my year living abroad. Particularly the bit about people you didn't know existed becoming so integral to your existence. I am so glad you had such an amazing adventure. Here's to three more fantastic years!

  6. Hannah!!!! It's been so long since I read one of your posts I didn't realize how much I missed this space of yours!

Yes, this year has been my fullest yet as well. Words can't quite describe the way my heart swells up at the thought of all that God did and all that I did in 12 months. College is wonderfully scary and exciting and changing. I actually have friends now, hehe. But yes, it seems like forever ago, but it also seems like it passed by so quickly. How could so much have happened in such a short space of time?

Glad to hear (hear? see?) your voice, Hannah!
